The Real Block is Not Intuitive Capability - It is the Nervous System

So I’m sitting here working on the guided journal for Soma Soul, my body based intuitive development program that starts June 1st, and I found myself needing to make a decision.

I thought, alright, I’m going to use the exact process I teach. I brought my awareness into my body and started looking for my yes, my no, or my maybe to determine alignment. I checked in a couple of times, waiting for the sensation I usually associate with either - and on the third try, it hit me. My yes had changed. What I realized is that I now receive audible yeses through clairaudience. I literally hear “yes” or “no” internally, through my inner hearing. It’s clear, simple and direct.

This was something I had just been talking about with Jennifer Liss, a Life Coach who works with folks to unleash their brilliance on the world.  I mean, what a fantastic fucking mission statement is that, huh?  Anyway, sometimes our yes begins as a small tingle or subtle sensation, but as we deepen our relationship with intuition, the signal evolves. It moves through the body and starts communicating through different pathways that are more connected to our natural intuitive strengths. I’m deeply connected through my crown and third eye, but my sacral and root have historically required more conscious connection and trust. It almost feels as though the body’s messaging system (our Human Design Authority), our inner wisdom  shifts and reroutes itself toward the path of least resistance.

The signal finds the clearest channel available.

And the truth is, I’ve probably been receiving guidance this way for a long time. I hear it clearly with clients; I trust it easily for other people. But when it came to myself, there was still that lingering question: Am I just telling myself what I want to hear?

The answer is no.

When you bring yourself into an alpha state, return to center, connect with your body, and consciously call in your higher knowing by saying, “Innate, connect me to my felt truth,” you will receive an answer. Every single time; guidance is always available.

I work with intuitives who believe they are asking yet receiving nothing. They ask their guides, their higher self, their intuition, and then conclude that the message never came.

But I honestly believe the message does come. Every time - without fail.

The real block is not intuitive ability. It is the nervous system. The nervous system determines whether we can safely receive the truth of what we already know.

  • Can you accept the answer with unconditional trust?

  • Can you stay grounded enough to hear something you may not want to hear?

  • Can you tolerate the reality that your guidance might ask you to take the harder path, make a difficult decision, disappoint someone, outgrow something, or finally choose yourself?

That is where the interference happens. Not in your intuition and not in your connection.

The interference lives in the conditioning, the patterning, the fear responses, the self protection, the shadow work, the survival wiring. Whatever language you want to use, the block is rarely your inability to receive. More often, it is your ability to trust, regulate, and act on what you already know.

We have to start exploring what life is reflecting back to us, because our internal world creates our external reality. The answers are around us all the time through sensations, patterns, synchronicities, inner knowing, emotion, sound, imagery, repetition, and resonance.

Intuition speaks in many languages - the most empowering work is learning how to recognize the ways your own system naturally receives truth.
