About the event
Intro to Stacker Rings is a beginner-friendly class designed to introduce you to one of the core skills used in jewelry making: soldering.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to measure, cut, shape, and solder metal wire into simple ring bands. We’ll cover the basics of torch safety, how solder flows, and how to properly join metal so your rings are strong and well-constructed.
Once your bands are soldered, you’ll refine and finish them by texturing, sanding, and polishing the metal. Each student will create two stacker rings, giving you the chance to practice the process more than once and experiment with different textures or finishes.
This class also serves as an important foundation for more advanced jewelry techniques. Learning how to solder clean, strong seams is the first step toward creating stone settings, pendants, and other fabricated jewelry. If you’re interested in eventually learning how to bezel set…
